When I was little, I played with my dual cassette player to create radio shows for my family to listen to complete with segments from a Russian Psychiatrist named Dr. Truth, which was actually me with a silly accent and friendly relationship advice. (My mother still has all those embarrassing recordings. Don't ask - she WILL let you hear.)
I'm also an actor, on screen and on the microphone. I fell in love with theatre in 8th grade seeing my first Broadway musical Phantom of the Opera. I fell in love with comedy watching Mel Brooks' reboot of the movie "To Be or Not to Be" and the film version of Gilbert & Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance."
I have always been drawn to performing and entertaining. I'm a passionate person who thrives on emotionally moving an audience.
In my quest, I entered the the Miss America Scholarship Organization (MAO). My work with MAO allowed me to grow as a leader in my community and win scholarship money to complete college.
In 1995, I attained the honor of Miss Louisiana winning a talent award at Miss America. I spent the year promoting my platform on positive Self-Image and School-To-Work programs. I spoke to over 65,000 students and leaders. I continue to volunteer by being on the Board of Directors of the Miss New York pageant as Secretary and Teen Liaison.
-- I'm a fire starter. I get ideas flowing and going.
-- I think outside the box, but am also able to stretch the box without breaking it.
-- I'm calm in a crisis. In fact, I think clearer and more creatively with a deadline.
-- I'm compassionate. I make sure a client stays true to themselves.
My specialties: leadership development, communications, employee training, script writing, musical editing, web development, social media
I love to meet new people and encourage them in their future. Reach out if you want to talk about leadership, music, blogging/podcasting or professional tennis.
In 1998, I began teaching and coaching vocalists. I have taught privately as well as for First United Methodist Music School in Texarkana, Arkansas.

I am dedicated to helping people explore their vocal talents and skills in the entertainment field. My focus centers on treating your entire body - not only your voice - as a tool for performance. This not only includes lessons for voice (speaking & singing) but career and life coaching.
In performance often your body will want to work against itself. You muscles become tense, you over think, and worry. My motivation is to help you move to a place where you can over come your insecurities and fears by giving you an understanding of vocal production and its connection to your body and mind. My desire is to lead you to being your best.
Here are some examples of how I can help: increasing vocal range, proper breathing techniques, body alignment, supported sound, conquer performance anxiety, stage presence, song interpretation, college preparation, smart goal setting, increased creativity, and positive internal reprogramming.

A poem that I wrote when I was 12 years old called "Almost 13" got published in Teen Magazine. Already being a singer, I began writing more prose and poetry that eventually turned into songs. I learned to record on a cassette tape and my love for recording began.
In 2006, I accidentally uploaded a cover tune from my debut album to the Podsafe Music Network (now Music Alley). It (my version of Gershwin's Summertime) got picked up by Adam Curry's Daily Source Code Podcast. He encouraged me to put my original material up so, I got busy and wrote and produced 2 songs with my then music partner C. Meeks: Drifting and I'll Be There (On Christmas Day).
That same year I recorded additional vocals for the Podsafe Music Christmas album.
While in Burbank, I wrote, produced and sang two additional songs: Forbidden Love and Love Me So.
