Karlyn Morissette is an electronic communications innovator and a thought leader in higher education. As the President & Principal Consultant of DoJo Web Strategy, she helps colleges to develop and execute goal-driven web strategies to enhance their online marketing efforts. While many offer advice from the sidelines, Karlyn has been there and done it as a practitioner in real-world higher education settings. She brings with her over a decade of web development experience and six years of proven success in implementing web marketing strategies in both admissions and fundraising offices, all while given limited resources and navigating institutional politics. Karlyn holds a BS in Communication from Boston University and an MBA from Norwich University. She lives in Norwich, Vermont with her two ferrets Monkey and Scampi.

As the Interactive Recruitment Manager, I was in charge of developing and implementing a comprehensive web marketing program for the purpose of admissions. The program I developed met every major goal it set out to achieve, including increasing online undergraduate applications by 50% within two years. My responsibilities included:
-Creating and execution of an in-depth admissions email marketing strategy for prospective students and their families
-Implementation and management of student blogs on the university's website
-Management of the admissions web presence, as well as acting as a content contributor for other areas of the site and a senior member of the university's web team
-Manager of student employees and of the admissions counseling staff as it pertained to their involvement with the interactive recruitment plan
