My role is to provide strategic leadership that will advance NITA's purposes, which are numerous but include improving awareness of T&I in the state and organizing professional development events for emerging and established translators and interpreters.

I was trained and employed previously as a chemist and I translate texts that most often come from the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

Initially reworked all laboratory SOPs and Forms for R&D lab and testing, then moved on to updating the whole QA system for manufacturing as well as the R&D lab. 'Many hats' in a small company meant I also did occasional lab work and I handled logistics for outsourcing.
