Hi, my name is Karen Skidmore and I help self-employed professionals and small business owners create successful (and profitable!) marketing systems.
By teaching & training businesses how to automate parts of their marketing, productise their offerings and optimise the use of social media tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, I can help small business owners to work less whilst still increasing their revenue potential.
When I first jumped off my 11 year corporate career track back in September 2004, I had ambitions of building a life coaching practice. After 5 months of hard struggle & finding very little in the way of 1-2-1 clients, I almost gave up.
But I didn't. I realised (the hard way!) that there other and far more successful ways of marketing oneself, rather then using the traditional methods of advertising, cold calling and leaflet dropping.
Over the past 4 years, I have understood how powerful web-based tools, such as blogging, email newsletters and social media, can be to promoting self-employed professionals and service based businesses. Creating conversations and automatic marketing systems can help guide interested prospects through to paying clients, with very little day-to-day effort needed.
Think back to the last time someone called you up out of the blue. After a 20 minute chat on the phone, they become your new client. No sales pitch, no close, no negotiation. "Wow, that was easy", you find yourself saying.
Well, it can be like that each and every time.
You don't have to "sell" yourself. With the right marketing systems and processes in place, business can be attracted through conversations and relationship building - naturally!
