Why I am here on LinkedIn:
I am seeking opportunities to form Joint Ventures/Strategic Alliances with small business owners, entrepreneurs and training organizations who participate in or support the marketing, advertising, writing and speaking industries.
My book, Turn Eye Appeal into Buy Appeal, provides easy-to-read instructions for people to develop marketing pieces such as flyers, brochures, logos and presentations that have a balance of “eye appeal” and “buy appeal” to make sales soar without having to hire a designer. It includes hundreds of techniques to reinforce marketing and branding strategies, and tips for writing persuasive copy that “hooks” customers.

The focus of my company, MacGraphics Services, which was founded in 1990, is to assist business owners to professionally represent themselves and their products/services through well-branded graphics and marketing materials.
My designs have played in the success of 27 award-winning and several best-selling books with a recent project that earned 2005 Writer’s Digest “Grand Prize” for the best-self published book in America. In March 2006, I presented a breakout session on visual branding at Mark Victor Hansen’s “Mega Marketing Magic” conference. I have been interviewed on teleseminars and have given design presentations to several professional and trade organizations. I have also written numerous articles for trade magazines nationwide.

Supervised graphic artists in designing computer generated slides. Art directed, design and created full color print publications and slide presentations. Coordinated production, scheduling and compiled estimates.

Supervised and trained a staff in visual production. This included computer graphic designers, art department coordinator and optical effects camera person.
Responsible for art department scheduling, project coordination, freelance contractors and computer graphics production.
Designed and implemented a production job flow system, produced forms, policies and procedures manual.
Conceptualized, designed and sketched storyboards for multi-image and speaker support slide shows, art directed video computer animation, created computer-generated slides and optical effects slides using traditional cell animation and Pansophic Starburst system.
Created a computer graphics symbol library consisting of 350 images for national distribution. Compiled estimates for design and production.

I've also designed the covers of 26 award-winning books, including the book that won the 2005 Writer's Digest award for the Best Self-Published book in America.
