Karen Lemmer’s Summary

I am a creative, multi-media designer. Passion and motivation are the driving forces behind my career. I take pride in how versatile my skill set is; from teaching a college Photoshop class, editing audio or video, developing an interactive Flash website, photographing a wedding, or designing business cards. I also get excited about learning new skills, working on a challenging project, and stepping 'outside-the-box' to design in a different way or collaborate with a team.

Although my bachelor's is in Graphic Design, I specialize in developing Flash animations and interactive content, and I am proficient in editing HTML, CSS, ActionScript. I have assisted and worked on audio, video, and photography shoots (including weddings), and I am skilled in audio and video editing - but my strength is in professional photo retouching. I am trained and practiced in teaching Graphic Design classes and Adobe software in an educational setting, and in the workplace (I have nearly completed my Masters in Educational Technology). With my journalism minor and experiece working at a community newspaper, I am also a trained photojournalist and writer that is familiar with AP Style copy editing.

Karen Lemmer’s Specialties:

Teaching Graphic Design and Photoshop to students from middle school to the college level; developing (in Flash, not just designing in Photoshop) interactive e-courses, modules, banners, splash pages, and websites; using clean and organized web/animation coding (actionscript 2.0 & some 3.0, html, css, and some java).
