I'm a jack-of-all-trades software developer - I've worked in old-school stuff like MAI Business Basic, COBOL, and RPG (and did a pre-Y2K stint as The World's Youngest System/36 Administrator), and modern stuff like Perl (my hands-down favorite), Javascript, Delphi, Visual Basic, and C#. I've got all the side skills too, in HTML, CSS, various flavors of SQL, and so on. I've managed a full three-shift 24/7 IT department, and I've *been* a full three-shift 24/7 IT department. (The latter is not sustainable.)

I've been playing stay-at-home mom since my son was born, keeping my hand in with contract jobs and open-source development. Lately, renovating our "vintage" house has been my full-time job, but it's occasionally tempting to jump back into the IT workforce and pay someone else to work on the house. Us nerds weren't meant to spend so much time outdoors, after all.
