M.S. , Software Engineering , 1998 — 2001
With an object-oriented specialization for my M.S., I designed and coded a TF-IDF search relevance ranking engine and a distributed execution manager and local execution managers against heterogeneous relational databases. I easily acquire new technologies and business domains, applying standard software engineering frameworks and standards, and I have worked with multiple, scalable technologies on diverse platforms, often planning and executing the integration.
I have two working principles:
-If you cannot diagram a concept, you don't understand it. This is where knowing UML and having a whiteboard come in handy.
-If you understand the overarching standards and frameworks, you can easily apply industry best practices to new business domains and technologies.
