Formed by PRSA Houston's board in 2001 with an initial seed grant, PRFH has grown its scholarship funds through silent auctions, a professional development fundraiser last November and individual donations. Chapter members and guests will have an upcoming opportunity to contribute to PRFH through its silent auction held in conjunction with this year's Excalibur Awards on June 9.
PRFH was formed to support educational excellence by helping prepare high school and college students for careers in public relations and communication. The group will award student scholarships and distribute funds to educational programs that support public relations and communication.
