I was part of the bank CTO specialising in Networks. My role involved assuring the best technical architecture of the Network transformation for the enterprise for a voice & data capable architecture, including the deployment of 70,000 IP Phones. The role supported the Programme Sponsor and Executive function in an advisory capacity working closely with Finance, Legal and Service functions in collaboration with the outsourced services provider (IBM).

Responsible for all ICT provision to PCT led health services, two Strategic Health Authorities and Information management for Service Level Management of Acute Services. The role involved a level of consolidation and re-structuring of functions, and operational infrastructure development. Also, involved in the development of NPfIT (now Connecting for Health) working with the Strategic Health Authorities and working closely with Capital Care Alliance (CCA).

Building a global Technology Consulting group - Marketing collateral, recruitment, training plans, business development and delivery. Group was full of talented individuals ~ 180 people across North America, Europe and Asia all accredited as CCNP's, Checkpoint, Cryptography and more as a minimum. Also included 10+ CCIE's delivering global consulting Capability. Major change programmes included creation of WesternGeco (6k employees), Sema (21k employees) acquisition and subsequent divestiture by Schlumberger, and some public sector projects relating to security and workforce transformation requiring NISCC engagement.
