Working as a freelancer and consultant for a broad range of organizations, largely in the local business, non-profit/campaigning and arts fields, I have built sites and developed strategies using a wide range of technologies.
My particular interest is to building sites that play well with others, allowing for integration and aggregation on a number of levels, and leveraging existing content in new ways to deepen and enrich the experience. I enjoy working on sites that aim to build and enhance communities, both online and off.
I currently work primarily with Ruby on Rails, though current projects also call for use of various PHP-based content management systems, and a variety of other technologies. I employ buzzwords when the project requires.
I am happy working directly with clients or in a sub-contracting position, and enjoy collaborating as part of a small team.
Strategic planning, site transition, cross-site integration, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Perl, Python, JavaScript/AJAX, RSS/Atom (syndication) and RDF, XHTML/CSS.

Member of a team responsible for design, development and planning for the festival website. Recently my focus has been widening the festival's profile on the web through integration with various services (often of the infamous 'Web 2.0' type) and making the website experience richer by connecting together information and exploring opportunities for moving more of the archives online.
