Jay leads DIGIQOM SOLUTIONS, a leading Digital Marketing and Strategic Communications firm, focused at enabling emerging companies across the world – communicate for results.
A brand communications professional with a significant track record in media, advertising, IT, Telecom, and software, Jay has deep domain knowledge in Telecom Software, OEM marketing and Brand creation for brands like Nokia, Hughes, and HSBC.
Since startup in May 2006, DIGIQOM has supported leading global brands such as Research In Motion, Vodafone, UT Starcom and Hughes in India, Open Clovis and SCA Technologies in the US, as well as Indian brands such as NIIT, GENPACT and Reliance among others.
Starting out as a print journalist, Jay has served with leading publications such as The Economic Times, Business Standard, Business Today. Bringing his newsman instincts to work for corporates, Jay led the Strategic Communications Group as Director (PR), for Contract Advertising( a JWT Group firm), advising brands like Bajaj Auto, Himalaya Drug Co., Prudential Insurance, IFB.
His interest in convergent technologies led him to Hughes Software Systems, now Flextronics Software Systems, where as Head of Corporate Communications, he delivered on several fronts including India’s first book built IPO, the most admired employer brand, global business acquisition, and credible corporate responsibility campaigns and in supporting two startups while at Hughes, RightServe, a pioneer in web advertising in India, and Hughes BPO, the BPO arm of HSS.
Jay also delivered industry first positioning as Head of Corp Comm at Nokia, and evangelised the cause of enterprise mobility while there.
Jay, is an active member of TiE, and also helps other entrepreneurs in their brand building and marketing efforts, and occasionally invests in promising teams and ideas.
An aspiring social entrepreneur, Jay is a Board member of READ India, which is spreading literacy through rural libraries.
