Justin Hunter’s Summary

Entrepreneur, currently launching my third start-up. I have enjoyed working in both successful venture capital-backed start-ups and Fortune 500 companies and have worked in jobs in Hong Kong, London, and New York before setting up camp in the college town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In my career, I particularly enjoy creating and managing:

• High performance teams,
• Deceptively simple, easy-to-use applications (most notably Hexawise),
• Market-entry and go-to-market expansion strategies,
• Global alliances and business partnerships,
• Multi-channel sales and distribution campaigns, and
• New technology and service offerings.

Justin Hunter’s Specialties:

Making the most user-friendly test design tool possible that allows testing teams to achieve more coverage in fewer tests.

Justin Hunter’s Experience

  • Founder and CEO

    Hexawise

(Privately Held; Information Technology and Services industry)

    February 2009Present (10 months)

I founded Hexawise to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of software testing.

Software testers use the Hexawise software test design tool to identify tests that achieve higher coverage in fewer tests.

The primary users of Hexawise are the people within IT organizations who are responsible for test design and senior-level project management (e.g., generally the people who document test plans and test scripts). Additional users include Developers, Senior-Level IT stakeholders, Testers, and Business Analysts.

    Benefits delivered by Hexawise include:

    (1) Time and cost savings from faster test case design (It typically takes about half as long to identify and document test cases using Hexawise v. manual test selection methods),

    (2) Time and cost savings from faster test execution (It usually takes less than half as long to execute Hexawise test cases to achieve the same quality/thoroughness), and

    (3) Decreased costs from improved quality and the ability to find defects earlier in the development life cycle.

The cost savings delivered by Hexawise are dramatic and objectively measurable, so we're more than happy to provide a 100% money back guarantee if users don't achieve a 500% ROI within their first year of use.

Hexawise is used for black box and grey box testing on applications with any kind of underlying code language, and is used during Functional Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Assembly Testing, Systems Integration Testing, Product Testing, Configuration Testing, etc.

Helped to manage a global sales team and develop, structure, and execute transactions ranging from large, complex, multi-country acquisitions, business alliances, and transformational outsourcing transactions to straightforward IT outsourcing deals.
