Since I was a little kid, I have loved finding solutions to problems.

I remember hanging out in the electronics department at Wal-Mart and helping people decide on a printer or computer or television. Not because I worked there. just because I enjoyed helping people get the right fit for their needs.

Today, I am still solving people's problems but with companies as my customers and marketing campaigns, strategies, and technology as my tools. For me, there is nothing better than when some dreamed-up solution works right off the bat or a little optimization provides big results.

I have been blessed to work with people who have invested in me and had faith in my ideas. I only hope I can give them a better solution.

I am responsible for wrestling with the technology that is required for our marketing efforts to work.

In a single week, I might be developing a website, planning a long-term nurturing campaign for one of the seven companies in our marketing automation software (Marketo), pressing the send button on a segmented campaign to 40,000 people, researching keywords in RavenTools, building advanced segments in Google Analytics for a report, and/or leading an initiative to improve the data hygiene in our CRM (SalesForce).

All in all, I get to spend most of my working hours solving problems with technology and solving technology issues and I am so blessed that they still let me work here.

    Jared has worked diligently these past 3-4 months on a project to overhaul our complete SalesForce database. Jared does not use SalesForce day-to-day, but he has worked tirelessly to understand how the rest of the department uses the platform and what we can do to use it more efficiently.     For the past few months Jared has lead our team in “overhauling” SalesForce, our CRM platform. This overhaul has been a tedious, long process but was necessary in order for our department to keep moving forward in our marketing efforts and, ultimately, help our companies grow. While we’ve worked through defining and implementing best practices, Jared has maintained a high-spirited, motivated attitude to help our team keep the ultimate goal in sight. Jared stepped up to lead this undertaking and has done an excellent job each step of the way.     Upon returning from vacation & catching up on emails, I moved several VIP nominations into Long Term Retention. A few days later, due to a notice that my in-box was full, I deleted many old emails. Although I could swear I didn’t touch the VIP nominations, when I opened the folder to process them, they were gone! A desperate call for help to Jared (to no one’s surprise) restored the missing nominations of all those Very Important People whose Values In Practice were nominated for recognition. Without Jared’s help, our VIP list would have been very short this month! Jared is an incredible asset to his department and to our company!

    We have recently transitioned to a new marketing automation platform which is very complicated. Jared has taken the lead in learning the new system and getting our operations running. (Even the software company's admins are impressed by the methods Jared devised for our special situations!) During this time we also launched a new ServiceWear Apparel website, our largest and most customized to date. Jared put in many extra hours to launch the site on time & delivered an outstanding product. Through stress & tight deadlines, Jared maintains a cheerful & helpful attitude. I'm grateful to have his skill set & hard work on the marketing team.

    • June 2012 to Present

    As a team, we have been able to upgrade both the look and feel as well as optimize a web site for improved rankings in the government uniforms market. I was able to participate in every step from strategy to development to launch.

  • Marketing Automation Platform Implementation

    • August 2012 to December 2012

    I was able to assist in identifying the correct platform and serve as the primary point of contact for it's implementation and integration with SalesForce as well as into SMS Holding's marketing processes from the software HubSpot.

    Our implementation was unique in that we use a single instance of Marketo and SalesForce for 7 various companies and each company has entirely different branding, lead qualifications, and resources.

    So far we have been able to significantly increase our number and recurrence of outbound campaigns as well as streamline event registrations as well as a lead lifecycle process. We have also been able to gain significant insight into our lead's activity between our many web presences.

    We are also creating automated nurturing systems to promote blogs, white papers, and guides across many of our companies.
