I am currently in the third year of a dual JD/MBA program focusing on entrepreneurship in both the law school and the business school. In my first two years in Boulder, I have become deeply involved with the entrepreneurial community on campus and in the Boulder Community. I co-facilitates the Boulder New Technology Meetup (http://newtech.meetup.com/27/) held monthly at the Wolf School of Law, and I am a member of the School of Law's Entrepreneurial Advisory Board and the Journal of Telecommunications and High Technology (http://www.colorado.edu/law/jthtl/). Within the Leeds School of Business, I am a member of the university's 2008 Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC http://www.vcic.unc.edu) team.
Outside of the university, I have participated in two startup weekends (http://startupweekend.com/), one in Boulder and one in Boston, involving a group of entrepreneurs coming together for a weekend to try and launch a new company. Professionally, I also worked as a law clerk with the Denver-based firm Faber Bantz, PC ( http://www.faberbantz.com/), a very entrepreneurial firm. Last summer, I conducted legal research for law professors Phil Weiser and Brad Bernthal on the state of broadband in Colorado for the Governor's Office on Innovation and Technology ( http://tinyurl.com/ynsp6w). I came to Boulder as an experienced entrepreneur, having worked for Axon Labs ( http://www.axonlabs.com), a Boston-based startup developing a consumer product technology for the sleep industry.
