Julie Cook’s Summary

It's all about image. Written, spoken, or worn, I style images of all kinds. It's my passion and the key to succesful communication.

Currently I'm in my fashion phase working at Neiman Marcus as a St. John specialist as well as building my own book of personal business.

In previous jobs, I've worked in traditional PR for retail, lifestyle and cultural accounts for a medium sized PR agency in Detroit. From there I moved on to designing social media PR strategies with a very cool start-up called Braingain Marketing also located in Detroit.

My ideal career path melds commerce and art. I enjoy connecting people to things they need and love. That's where PR and personal shopping overlap. If you think abou it, personal shopping and wardrobing is all about conveying a message to the public through style.

I spend my days surrounded by the most beautiful clothes money can buy. My clients look to me as their gateway into the world of fashion and style. At Braingain, I work with the most talented and cool people around. I'm on my laptop 24-7 researching new online media strategies (and doing a little shopping too..) so that our clients are on the bleeding edge of new media. I'm a media and culture geek so it's awesome that my hobbies and work collide.

I help clients move out of the dark ages by amping up current PR plans and/or creating an entirely new approach with Web 2.0 strategies so they can better connect with consumers.
