Juliane Foubert’s Summary

After obtaining two B.A.s in French and English in December of 2009, Julie will be re-locating to Brussels, Belgium, to begin work for an international immigration law firm.

Julie is currently an aide to the Recruiting and Advising team at the IES Abroad headquarter offices. In working for one of the nation's largest study abroad providers, she learns the behind-the-scenes operations of helping students travel all over the world.

Now an IES alumna, Julie spent her junior year abroad in Nantes, France, from August 2008 - May 2009. She lived with a French host-family and attended the University of Nantes in conjunction with the IES Center, where all her courses were conducted in French. This stay in France dramatically improved her French language skills as well as her understanding of French culture and society. Her unique bi-cultural experience makes her a prime candidate for work in France and aiding French companies to execute operations with their American or other English-speaking partners.

Julie's strengths include interpersonal communication, meticulous attention to detail, taking initiative, an ability to work efficiently and effectively with others, and to manage successfully through positive reinforcement. Julie has a host of professional experience, having worked for a private law firm, California's international investor visa program, and the Délégation du Québec, along with a "stage" completed in France at an école préparatoire. She is a young professional with a knack for applying strong critical and analytical skills to a real-world setting.

Julie continues to do consulting for a French IT company. She is very much looking forward to beginning her professional life in Brussels. She is so grateful for all of the help she has been so fortunate to have to make it possible.
