I conducted research for the formidable Dr. Kim Veltman; a very wide range, from Leonardo da Vinci to secret CIA cyborg warfare plans.
In the end it should have lead to a thesis on "The Universal Catalogue of Emotions".
Yet me and the involved professors failed to gather the necessary funding, thanks to the unwilling cooperation of my (very rich) ex-faculty of Arts and Sciences.

My thesis on "Walter Benjamin & the Archeology of Modernity" won an award, being the best of 1996 from the University of Maastricht.
The award was presented by Mr. Job Cohen, the present mayor of Amsterdam, who was State Secretary of Justice and Rector Magnificus of the Maastricht University in the past.
