Jeff O'Connor’s Summary

I'm an accidental healthcare professional. I was advised by a mentor and friend who knew me well and saw that I wasn't fulfilled by work as a consultant to stop working for the automotive industry and apply my skills and talents to healthcare instead. After four years of working with placement services companies, I was given an opportunity to interview with Health Alliance Plan and I have been here ever since.

I believe very strongly in the work that I do and the organization that I do it for. I am very dedicated to HAP and the Henry Ford Health System's mission of providing affordable, quality healthcare to our subscribers and to the public. I believe that technology - when used effectively - can help people live happier, healthier lives.

Since May of 2008 I have served as the Market Research Manager for HAP's Corporate Product Development department. It's a challenge and a privilege to be at the core of this organization's mission and I do my best every day to prove myself an asset to the the people whose lives are literally in our hands.

I am pursuing my MBA at Wayne State University and hope to complete it by 2011.
