Thingelstad assembles and leads technology teams to build highly scalable, reliable and extensible technology platforms delivering against business objectives and then continuing to operate those with an extremely high level of dependability. Thingelstad is actively involved in the executive management team and able to present the company to potential customers and investors.
Thingelstad enjoys being an evangelist for the organization or project, rallying the efforts of employees as well as getting the support of external stakeholders. Thingelstad has a specific skill at selling complicated technology ideas to non-technical as well as technical individuals alike.
Thingelstad focuses first on the problem being solved before delivering a technology solution. His background has been extensive in the Microsoft Windows platform, as well as a variety of Unix platforms. His passion is in building large-scale real-time distributed message-based platforms and large-scale data warehouses.

Thingelstad co-founded WebSpana regional ISP and Web development firm in 1994. WebSpan was focused on servicing the corporate market for web design services, connectivity and Internet services. Thingelstad was responsible for all technology implementation and operation. Thingelstad also served on the Board of Directors and was involved with raising capital. WebSpan grew to approximately 50 corporate clients and was sold to another ISP shortly after Thingelstad left.

Thingelstad served as Technical Coordinator for Disability Service at the University of Minnesota where he built a centralized database to better serve disabled students, faculty and employeesthe system is still in use today. In addition, Thingelstad deployed basic office services such as e-mail, calendaring and file services for approximately 75 employees in a number of different offices.
