Jonathan Starets’s Summary

I have helped companies grow their mobile divisions & built a division from scratch. I have been the main point of contact with my clients to better understand their needs, all to find ways to make what I do work better w/ their objectives. I have spent years understanding the intricacies of the mobile marketing eco-system, combining that w/ what works for consumers & also good for retailers.

JStar Mobile is not bound bound by non-compatible corporate rules, pricing, processes, etc. We focus on eliminating the main reasons I have seen retailers hesitate to participate in mobile. The first being that it would be adding another item to manage to their already 'full / busy plates.' In about 2 hours the first month and another hour a month is all that is needed for me to keep your program running, exciting. Really not too much, I promise. All clients will experience personally managed, well planned and executed campaigns 95% done by JStar Mobile.

Once we begin to see the strong results and strong we can track strong ROI from this channel you may want to become more involved (many clients do at this point). So, interactive planning and client (you) engagement is a key priority for me as we move forward. I love seeing clients feeling like they are a part of their mobile marketing efforts & I believe this will eventually enable you to learn & use your own creative input & have this positively reflect in your ongoing mobile marketing.

Jonathan Starets’s Experience

  • Mobile Strategist

    JStar Mobile

    (Marketing and Advertising industry)

    June 2008Present (1 year 6 months)

JStar Mobile can provide any or all pieces of a mobile program from initial stage planning, ongoing strategic direction and execution on all types of mobile programs.

Venturing into the world of mobile marketing, it pays to have help getting started. The logical choice for most is to turn to an agency with mobile experience for help. The biggest hurdle here is that these agency fees are often very high and usually prohibitive to those just wanting to test, build a business case & then roll-out a larger scale program.

Knowing these prices were often deterring many companies, even larger $250 mil + / yr companies from getting started & my unique knowledge of the entire mobile process; set-up, msg scripting, to execution... JStar Mobile does it all.

  • EVP of Mobile Marketing

    Livemercial

(Privately Held; Marketing and Advertising industry)

    March 2008July 2008 (5 months)

I was recruited by Livemercial to head up their not yet formed mobile division, get their original product finished & expand their product offering by adding other mobile capabilities.

I had figured let's make the C's happy, let's roll-out Txt2Buy... To do this properly, it required much more work than they suggested leasing an asp messaging platform... A solutions that would be quick fixes & instantly add capabilities that now will fit a wider variety of marketing objectives.

I did my best to finally giving them a finished mobile product to sell, instead of a concept. This would allow me to go back and train a few people how to manage, schedule & plan new mobile campaigns.

The growth potential didn't match what Livemercial wanted... In other words it would take a little while for it to be profitable for us, the agency and take more to manage the mobile programs.
