Jeremy Pepper’s Summary

I have worked in integrated communications - the merging of online, influencer PR with traditional PR - for more than 10 years in consumer goods, consumer technology, high-technology and Internet properties. While many have recently discovered "social media," I have been working in the space since the beginning of my public relations career, understanding that it's about the public as much as the press.

I have a deep interest and experience with community building, and all aspects of social media. In the past, I have closely worked with clients such as Eastman Kodak, Cisco Systems, General Motors, Verizon Wireless, Clorox, MasterCard, Nortel Networks, VeriSign, amongst others. The work has ranged from traditional public relations to developing and integrating social media strategies into overall public relations plans, as well as online corporate reputation management through new and evolving tools.

My work has also included local public relations and grass roots efforts - understanding that the basis of any campaign starts locally.

My passion for public relations - and the integration of social media - extends beyond the usual blogging, to actual participation in the communities. I am a longtime supporter and attendee of BlogHer, the world's largest network and conference of female bloggers, as well as conference attendee and speaker to both continue to grow and learn from others, as well as impart wisdom to the crowd. That includes mentoring college students around the nation, as well as guest lecturing and speaking to students at University of California, Berkeley, University of Georgia, Auburn University and University of California, Los Angeles.

Over the years, my work has won two Silver Anvils, a UN Award, amongst others, and my personal blog consistently places in top 50 marketing/public relations blog on AdAge's rankings, and was named top PR blog in 2006 by an advertising blogging network.
