I am a visual problem solver.

Most people call me a UX/UI designer, web designer, or graphic designer but I do much more than make cool navigation menus, pretty designs and nice logos. Most of my employers and clients come to me with a problem to solve. They have a vision for a great website that explains their business or sells their products or a software application that is easy to use but feature rich, or even a new logo that is truly unique and awesome. My job starts by understanding that vision, asking questions, breaking down the problem and building it back up again. The goal is clarification and simplification so that the customer or user can understand that vision easily and fast. That is a positive user experience, a design that doesn’t get in the way of the task, a design that gets to the one key bullet point and does not overwhelm with ten bullet points that degrade the experience.

But simplification does not mean boring because good usability, good graphics and good branding all add to the experience. This may require focus testing, wireframing, lo or high fidelity prototyping, usability testing, lots of iterations or just plain good design intuition. These are all tools that I use to create a product that excites the customer/user and makes them want to come back again. This kind of positive experience builds value for your company and is worth striving for. Because your client doesn’t have time or the patience for a bad user experience or ten bullet points, they have time for one bullet point, so you want to make that one point shine.
