GIS and Mapping Specialist at JSA GIServices
Duluth, Minnesota Area
I started my professional experience at University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where I started majoring in engineering. After receiving a summer position at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources during the summer of 2001 I decided to change schools and my focus to GIS (Geographical Information Systems). I finished my bachelors degree in Geography (GIS) in 2004 from UW Madison. Then I received an offer from UPM-Blandin Paper Company in Grand Rapids Minnesota to be a GIS consultant for their migration to a new forest management system. While contracting with Blandin I finished my masters degree from St. Cloud State University in Geography (GIS). During this time I also started JSA GIServices, the official name for my consulting business. Currently our company is working on a contract with UPM Blandin Paper Company and is also doing several other smaller projects for local events and tourist organizations. We are currently developing a pilot project for St. Louis County to server their GIS data to the World Wide Web. Our consulting specialties include environmental GIS analysis, data creation and maintenance, GPS/GIS integration, custom GIS tools, static and dynamic cartographic products, and ArcSDE/ArcIMS/ArcGIS Server setup. We also offer content rich online mapping interfaces.
