I work with small businesses and consultants to create and implement online strategies and expanded presence. Whether it's launching a web site, Facebook page, a blog, a newsletter, or even configuring DNS, I have a combination of communications and technical skills that truly is unique -- and is invaluable to my clients.
Managed the conversion of a three-unit building to condominiums. This multi-year project required working with lawyers, tenants, city inspectors, contractors and other vendors. Published articles on green home renovation and comparing various ownership structures. Responsible for tenant recruitment, qualification and retention, as well as on-site maintenance and improvements.
ALC is the world's largest annual AIDS fundraising event, raising more than $14.4 million in 2013. As Recruitment Manager, I was responsible for recruiting new Cyclists and Roadies to participate in the 2012 and 2013 events. This included developing recruitment strategies, developing and managing implementation of the annual recruitment plan, managing a recruitment team of up to three coordinators, managing the recruitment budget, and supporting 12-15 annual events throughout the year, from 1-day rides to cocktail parties. As there was no Recruitment Manager when I joined ALC, my responsibilities as Coordinator were largely the same, with the exception of budgeting. In both positions, I reported directly to the Associate Director, SoCal, and was responsible for a high-level logistics role during our week-long event.
AIDS/LifeCycle is the world's largest annual AIDS fundraising event, raising more than $13 million in 2011. I manage and motivate a team of up to 15 other volunteer Roadies through a week of 12-hour days. Site services include beverages, food, medical, bike tech, and rest rooms. Interface with staff and manage vehicle traffic safely in and out of site. Captain/Co-Captain ALC 7-10, Roadie ALC 4-6.
Teach five different multi-week series of dance classes to adult students. Continually monitoring and evolving techniques within the defined curriculum as well as expanding and adapting the curriculum as needed. Teaching methodology requires facility with language patterns, identifying and teaching to various student learning styles and modalities in classroom and one-on-one settings, and managing student engagement, focus and comfort levels as they learn a physical activity that can easily cause public embarrassment – ensuring that students have fun and feel good about their learning process. Trains new instructors, as well as training senior instructors to train new instructors and evaluating their training abilities. Currently developing video training modules for web distribution. Sells continuing classes to students. Contribute to school marketing.
As a licensed real estate agent, worked with both buyers and sellers. Explained pricing and negotiation strategies and complex legal requirements and forms to clients. Selected and implemented business systems, including systems for lead tracking, contact management, on-line legal form management, email marketing and more. Developed web content, published newsletter in both on-line and print editions, developed a variety of marketing materials and advertisements.
Provided web site development, web-based and installable application development, training, project management, network engineering support and desktop support services for several clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cross-functional team lead for several major projects.
Responsible for the usability of several web-based project management and collaboration applications. Trained Interaction Designers and Usability Assistant in usability principles and techniques. Involved in setting company-wide usability strategy and process, including documentation, reporting of results and integration of usability into the software development process. Worked closely with stakeholders to set usability priorities for major releases.
Developed interactive web sites and installable applications for the Network Engineering Team. Responsible for training users throughout the company, including C-level executives. Created targeted sites and features for audiences across departmental lines and all levels of management. Created database-driven web applications for several Network Engineering initiatives. Worked closely with a database developer to create a multi-team project management application that provided status and departmental performance metrics. Technical communications lead for the Network Engineering team.
Developed and maintained marketing information systems, including contact management, staff resumes, project histories and team partner data. Developed promotional materials. Provided in-house operating system, software and hardware consulting to the network administrator, and administered a small Macintosh network. Primary responsibility for meeting proposal deadlines.
