J.R. Claeys is a fifth-generation Kansan, born and raised in Salina. He graduated from Kansas State University, worked in fundraising for the Republican National Committee and served as the CEO of a national business association where he fought for paperwork reduction, regulatory reform and tax relief for small businesses across America.
More recently, J.R. served as a Certified International Elections Observer in a nation that uses Voter I.D. and registration security procedures to preserve the integrity of their elections.
J.R. will put his experience to work for Kansas, cutting red tape for small business and running free and fair elections for Kansas. J.R. believes we need Voter ID and election reforms that protect our vote. He believes we need to make government more user-friendly for small businesses so business owners can create jobs and get our economy moving again.
