J. Ray Rice is author, facilitator, speaker, and a PhD Clinical Social Work Student. He received his ABS-71’ and MSW-77’ from George Williams College, now at Aurora University. A member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW) since 1979, he has worked and trained in 19-countries: in the streets, maximum-security correction, emergency-rooms, State hospitals, out-patient clinics, residential treatment centers, community-base, home-bound therapy, military bases, cruise-ships, high-schools, law-enforcement, private practice, colleges and universities, YMCA Camps, gangs, cults, corporate America and in 1977 the 1st Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center for Adolescences in the country. He was listed in Who’s Who in the World in 1987.
Presently he is setting-up a think-tank to train-the-trainers on identifying and treating the effects of unresolved abandonment issues on the individual and their society. He has written three books that will be released on Amazon.com this fall: 1) Thank You for Loving Me! The Psychology of Abandonment, Healing and Loving 2) What I Must Give Myself...First! Vol 1 - Someone Else Cannot Give You What You Are Not Able or Willing to Give Yourself 3) What I Must Give Myself...First! Vol 2 - Finding Yourself Under the Pain of Abandonment.
