I have worked in VAT (Value Added Tax) for my whole career. I started at HM Customs & Excise where I spent time as a visiting officer, enquiries officer and manager of a deregistration section.

After HMC&E I worked in practice for Coopers & Lybrand, PwC and BDO Stoy Hayward. After BDO I spent 18 months in industry working for NSK, a large international as European VAT Manager.

After NSK I joined VATease, an independent VAT consultancy that supplies VAT Technical Support services to Practice and Industry, then Dains a vibrant regional accountant. I now work for BTG-Tax, an independant tax advice consultancy; part of the Begbies Traynor Group.
