Josh Williams’s Summary

I sling code and tell stories.

More specifically, I'm a teaching fellow at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, teaching journalism technology, multimedia and self-publishing skills to graduate students and visiting professionals.

Before UC Berkeley, I was the operations manager for Las Vegas-based Greenspun Interactive, where I managed the launch of several media sites and television shows, including the Las Vegas Sun's new Web site in 2008, which won awards from the Online News Association for general excellence and from Editor & Publisher for best overall newspaper-affiliated site, among many others.

Prior to that, I was a multimedia exhibit developer at the Smithsonian Institution for three years and a Web developer at various DC-based companies. I have a master's degree in interactive journalism from American University and a bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
