Hotresponse created Internet-based applications such as directories and online reader response tools that were sold to magazine companies on an outsourced basis (an ASP). Led team in shaping and creating products for the media industry. Launched the directory platform that was the companys core product; developed new products, including sweepstakes, surveying, and calendar tools; formed strategic partnerships; evaluated competitors; oversaw technical team; led product marketing efforts; set company policies and procedures for client services and sales; and was key member of sales team. Hotresponse grew from 3 to 40 clients during the year and to revenues of over $1 million.
Hotresponse clients managed elements of over 50 publications owned by companies including Primedia, Hearst, Gruner & Jahr, Red Herring, Penton, New York Times, Times Mirror, and EMAP.
