Web app/RIA development focused on RIA and user interface design

I'm a programmer and graphic designer of 14 years.
--Programming--
I specialize in many different languages and environments. I go from enterprise level Java/J2EE, MS SQL Server/Oracle projects, to LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) applications, down to scripts to keep systems in check. I'm always pushing myself to learn new languages, technologies, and ways of thinking and handling situations. I love hearing "Well, we don't have a fix for this, or it can't be done". That is music to my ears, the challenge to find a solution to the possibly impossible.
I've been doing Adobe AIR and Flex work for quite awhile now. I've also been taking a serious look at Microsoft's latest web platform initiative. I'm impressed with Visual Studio 2010 Beta, and Silverlight. Also looking into Curl and JavaFX.
--Graphic Design--
Most of my work in design is from freelancing. It consists of web site design, logo design, user interface layouts, photography manipulation, and print work. The tools of the trade I use, are Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Autodesk SketchBook; and a must have, a pen tablet. (Wacom Intuos3 and Wacom Bamboo [when mobile])
--Pushing Myself--
I read and research as often as possible to expand my knowledge and skill set. I stay up on trends, both technical and business related in and out of the IT world. I work on projects that are out of scope of my normal environment, to keep me on my toes. And possibly find a use for it down the road.
I'm a people person, and like to be social and engage people. I'm a loving father, and a dedicated worker. I hope to someday branch out on my own or lead a team of younger developers and guide them through their career. I've had many great people help me throughout my career, and do my best to offer the same to others.
My top two specialties are in user interface design, RIA development, problem solving and flexibility.
For problem solving, regardless the language or platform, I'm on it; especially if it's said that it cannot be done. I love a good challenge.
My flexibility comes from working for start-ups before the dotcom bubble burst. This required being able to to wear many hats; it's now a part of my work character.
