Managed small core team of regular full time employees, and up to 20 contractors. Worked closely with team of PhD research scientists.

    * Generated request for proposal. Identified, screened, and selected partners. Negotiated contracts with outsourcing partners. Achieved 10% reduction in rate.

    * Conceptualized overall architecture and high level design for the Master System Controller. Managed team through development of detailed design. Resulting product proved highly reliable, flexible, and maintainable.

    * Derived requirements and developed detailed design specification. Worked with direct customer, and their customers, to negotiate key specifications. End customer indicated high degree of satisfaction with the design, and indicated that it differentiated our product.

    * Created phase 1 (alpha) and phase 2 (beta) engineering plans. Both phases were successfully delivered on-time and on-budget.
