UP is a ICT Network in Wellington NZ

I joined UP back in March 2004 after attending an UPstart with Mark Blumsky. I'd just been an a previous non-UP event and someone invited me along for the free beer and pizza. I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and soon got hooked on the networking potential with UP. At the time I had hobbies and interests that kept me quite involved in the ICT scene, but was working in the AEC industry as a design engineer.
I joined the UP Executive Committee in July 2005 after a spectacular Apple Event because I was impressed by the events UP put on and inspired by the opportunities for making UP even better.
5+ years later I'm still on the Executive Committee, and we've grown to a network of closing on 2000 people
