I work towards the motivation and productivity of our team and the overall quality of SAPO's products.
With that in mind, I manage our training programs, do a lot of technical communication (both with clients and with partners) and I'm quite involved with our recruitment process.
I'm also responsible for the organization of several events such as Codebits and for a few other technical chores.

A typical week of work:
• managing a team of 8 in-house Perl programmers, 2 Usability and Accessibility consultants, plus a variable number of outsourcers; this part of the job involves making sure they’re motivated, allocated to the proper projects, etc;
• monitoring 5-6 projects for 4-5 clients at the same time; clients range from media to ISPs, passing government branches and all other sorts of companies; each project usually has a project manager associated to it, but I’m always present;
• monitoring 3-4 support contracts for which my departments are responsible, making sure every request is attended within the specified SLAs;
• assisting the Sales & Marketing department with 5-6 sales at the same time, designing technical solutions and convincing the client we’re the proper technical choice (which we usually are);
• assisting the Human Development department with candidate selection and recruitment.
