DEVELOPMENT:
Use Test Driven Development with Selenium IDE, Firefox browser automation to write rules based on use case scenarios.

Have the opportunity to mentor and collaborate with junior and senior team members on projects.

Ability to build and maintain a rapport with strategists, brand managers, and account coordinators.

Able to effectively communicate technical needs and requirements to vendors.

Lead resolution of issue tracking tickets for maintenance, or other issues that have been created by the brand teams.

PROJECTS:
Created a seed cost calculator, with logic to determine incentives and pay back discounts. The user interface used bootstrap for the responsive template and components. Custom JavaScript and jQuery event listeners enabled dynamic interactivity.

Created a herbicide calculator to determine the cost advantage over a competitor. JavaScript event listeners captured changes in input fields, which triggered cascading calculations for rate of application per acre, and associated costs per gallon.

Created an interface where users enter a zip code, choose a crop and tillage for a geographic region, that information returns a collection of herbicide recommendations. Custom JavaScript was used for validation, interchanging between user actions, and database results. Requests were cross origin to retrieve JSON encoded data from the Windows Azure hosted database, and was required to work on IE8. We implemented a method for XDomain Requests (XDR) in place of XHR requests for this particular browser.

The Frontline for Hope is built on WordPress, and uses a responsive theme for cross device display. It uses an embedded Vimeo player to watch the teaser and episode videos. To over come the challenge of custom content like episodes, team members, and patients, I created custom post types. This made it possible for an archive-view landing page and separation of logic in the template system.

  • Connect With Reconn

    • March 2013 to Present
Team Members: Jordan Walker, Michael Forbis

This website for the satellite acquisition platform is built on Expression Engine. The site has a full screen home page slider, blog, and Vimeo player. I developed two custom modules for the orders contact form, and newsletter sign up. Both modules integrate with MailChimp to store inbound leads. To make the site responsive for mobile users, we employed css media queries to target different mobile device resolutions and orientations. To optimize the speed of the site, I used Google PageSpeed as a guide for modification by greatest percentage of gain.
