Jordan Levin brings two decades of experience in the media industry to Generate, the first independent production and management studio established to develop franchise entertainment properties for the transmedia generation. Generate develops professionally-produced, premium content that can migrate across distribution platforms and creates innovative concepts to integrate into the advertising, technology and entertainment communities. Recently named to the 2008 AlwaysOn OnHollywood 100 as a top private company in digital entertainment and media, Generate completed a $6 million Series A round backed by Velocity Interactive Group and MK Capital in March 2008. Prior to founding Generate, Levin spent a decade launching, building and branding The WB broadcast network culminating with his appointment as the youngest CEO in broadcast television history. Levin, who replaced television visionary Jamie Kellner as CEO of The WB, joined the network before its January 1995 launch as part of the founding executive team and rose through the programming ranks to become President, Entertainment by the time he was 33. Levin was instrumental in the development of numerous hit series for young adults and family households that established the network’s brand such as “Dawson’s Creek,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “7th Heaven,” “Charmed,” “Felicity,” “Smallville," “Angel,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch,” “Sister, Sister," “The Steve Harvey Show,” “Reba,” “Popstars,” “The Surreal Life,” “One Tree Hill” and “Everwood,” for which he also directed an episode. In addition to The WB, Levin oversaw Kid’s WB! and established The WB’s original movie division by launching the “American Girl” film franchise. Prior to The WB, Levin was at Disney where he was associated with “Home Improvement,” “Ellen” and “Boy Meets World.” He currently sits on numerous Boards including non-profit organizations, political advocacy groups and media companies.
