As a GA, I worked closely with Professor Mr. Terry Foster. He teaches many of the Industrial Computer Systems Classes (ICS) for the department. He has a computer lab that most of his classes are taught in. I was administering this lab for him which gave me duties of: computer hardware and software support (mostly Windows, some Linux), managing the DNS and DHCP servers, managing the Symantec Ghost server, managing the Cisco PIX 500 firewall, maintaining the Cisco routers and switches for the class that uses that equipment.
As part of this GA I was asked to teach TEC 245 the Operating Systems class. I accepted the full time offer at the College of Business, but was still able to teach the class as an Independent Study for my Graduate program. The class was taught using Ubuntu Linux, with the Linux + Comptia certification book.
