TO MY FELLOW ENTREPRENEURS…
As a business owner there’s only one way to grow: find new clients. In some 30 years of creative consulting, I’ve found that nothing compares to the Internet as a marketing tool — for precision, results and cost-effectiveness.
But you must know how to use it right, or find people who do. That’s why Andy Renk and I created Click for Clients. It’s a place where business owners can drive growth online.
Andy built a $12m online business when most of us didn't know what "online" meant. I'm a strategic consultant to Brandwithin and a Trump University faculty member. So we probably know some stuff that could help you.
IS YOUR WEBSITE A PROFIT CENTER?
Most people's online strategy can be summed up with the infamous phrase: “Build it and they will come.” This is a six-word recipe for failure. I keep seeing the sweetest (and costliest) business websites with no traffic.
A smaller minority have fallen in love with “SEO” and their results are better. But they’re still trying to draw a triangle with two sides. Forget about “having a website” or “doing SEO” . Start creating a total online marketing machine with one focus — increasing revenues. Think sales and work back from that point.
Your marketing machine requires three fundamental elements: Traffic + Leads + Conversion (TLC). In other words, get people to your site, capture their contact information and woo them to become clients.
What could your website do for your bottom line if you applied these fundamentals? If you’re curious, you can find out with a free website cash projection at:

You may have to be patient: we’re getting tons of requests for these and each one is done by a real human being! Meanwhile, you are welcome to contact me at this email address: jon@clickforclients.com or call me at 480.488.7021.
All success to you and your online marketing!

December 2007 — Present (2 years )
Click for Clients teaches business owners how to attract more customers using the Internet. Month by month we provide short, lively training videos about every aspect of online marketing. The videos are supported by downloadable workbooks and a dynamic social classroom. I co-founded CfC with Andy Renk of MaxOtto.

January 1994 — July 2001 (7 years 7 months)
Young Associates was a graphic design company in Phoenix, AZ that I helped transform into a full-service marketing and advertising agency. Our clients ranged from Pinnacle West, a billion-dollar energy corporation, to small local restaurants. They included Del Webb, the Learning Company and Robert Kiyosaki of "Rich Dad" fame. We produced TV, radio, print and direct mail campaigns, designed corporate identities and created brand strategies.

January 1981 — December 1993 (13 years )
My career as a copywriter began in my home town of London, when a designer friend showed me a brochure she was working on and I rashly said; "I could write that better." Within a short time, I was the principal writer serving Pentagram Design and Reuters UK (financial services). I continued my writing practice during two years in the Netherlands, and in the first months of my residence in the United States.
MSW , Social Work , 1971 — 1973
My focus at Sussex was human psychology, and I went on to work in therapeutic and community environments before taking up a teaching position. This grounding in psychology has proved an invaluable resource in my marketing career.
MA , English Literature , 1968 — 1971
As a student of literature, my fundamental interest at Cambridge was writing. I was fortunate to be present at a renaissance of contemporary poetry. The focus on writing, though it changed form, provided the foundation for my later career in marketing.
