Selected Results:
- Revamped architecture, procedures and controls to meet HIPAA and SAS70 level II requirements, implementing a new Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity model in the process. Introduced virtualization, cutting costs while improving the ability to test and deploy competing versions of our product.
- Defined a new architecture, blending an operational database, data warehouse and business intelligence based on a column-oriented dbms and open source OLAP engine, user interface leveraging GWT and Flash, and interfaces to support next generation add ons such as cell phones, online PDA’s and Blackberry’s. In one year, repositioned the company’s approach to be competitive with the leading industry contenders.

The company closed more than double the 2nd year volume in loans in its 3rd year, enabled by the technology innovations my team implemented, with better than a 200% ROI on technology investment during this period.
Responsible for all aspects of information, technology, and the staffing and management of these functions across the enterprise.
Selected Results:
- Moved the technology and processes from a CMMi level 1 undefined state to a defined, monitored and managed state at CMMi level 3 in eighteen months while creating a platform to facilitate creation of a billion dollar loan portfolio.
- Implemented changes in staff, infrastructure, software and management processes in one year that enabled the company to handle a level of business an order of magnitude greater than the prior year. - For the global bank CIO, evaluated the U.S. IT organization, recommending steps to align reengineering efforts with strategic plans.
- For Bell Communications Research (now Telcordia), directed the “project rescue” of a generic electronic forms architecture and an online purchasing system that processes more than $35 million monthly.
- Created www.IonThunder.com, ranked as one of the top 10 gaming sites on the Internet in terms of user satisfaction and repeat usage by Comscore Media Metrix (sold in 2005 to BigFishGames as "atlantis.bigfishgames.com").
