Jon Hudson’s Summary

Jon Hudson received a BSc honours degree in Physical Electronics from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1977 and joined Texas Instruments in the UK as a design engineer. During the 1980's he built up TI's European ASIC design capability in Bedford, England. From 1988 to 1994 he was responsible for TI's European Linear telecoms business including the first volume cellular analogue baseband products. From 1995- 2004 he was European technical marketing manager, responsible for European FAEs and Technical marketing which included the EPIC customer response centre, TI’s DSP 3rd party programme, an Optical networking initiative as well as TI’s ongoing emerging end equipment identification process.

In early 20004, Jon Hudson left TI to form the Jon Hudson Consultancy where clients included AdvanceSis, Affle, ARM, Bitwave Semiconductor, Celador Productions, Distraction Formats, Interactive Rights Management, Nokia Multimedia, Optical Metrology Innovations, Starcut and Texas Instruments. As well as providing semiconductor-based business development services, the creative focus of the Consultancy was the development of TV entertainment formats exploiting mobile technology. These shows are likely to reach mainstream TV audiences in 2008/9.
