Digital Communications Manager at Words&Pictures
Leeds, United Kingdom
Extensively skilled in delivering effective online marketing and functional solutions I am now identifying the products, practices and services that will take the best in online editorial design from print into digital channels.
I have worked developing websites for over a dozen years and have experienced a wide number of sectors and organisation types and sizes - as well as having consulted on a vast array of web based solutions. These projects have included websites, content management solutions, recruitment campaigns, candidate management systems, e-commerce and online magazines.
I have worked in the capacities of client, supplier and sub-contractor and have set up development teams and associated processes, built sites myself, consulted as a freelancer and acted as project/account manager on several projects.
I am always up for a challenge - generally able to see the future and find ways of making it happen; realistically and focussing on identified goals and required outcomes. Engagement and delivering solutions that create effective two-way communications are part of my every day.
Practicing what I preach is great - so by combining my love of photography with a desire to understand how online communities function I have been very active in delivering the successful Leeds group on Flickr.com; hopefully culminating in a one day free photography conference.
The future may be digital but I also understand the history of print and see its role now and in the future. Viva la digital/analogue revolution!

Exposure Leeds is a not-for-profit organisation 'affordably sharing and advancing photography skills'. It was borne out of my experience of working with Leeds group on Flickr.com. To date we have delivered two free photography conferences (attracting a total of 190 delegates) and a monthly workshop/networking session - both in Leeds.
We are now planning Photocamp Bradford {2009} with the National Media Museum in that city and building links to give our members access to develop their photography and support each other.
