I am very interested in the current developments in social software. I think that emerging technology has the ability to create and empower communities in ways that were not possible until recently. The potential for invigorating both corporate and social communities is profound.
Through my company, I am currently providing customization to Jive Software's Clearspace community and collaboration platform. I became a Jive Certified Clearspace Developer while working as a software engineer at Jive.
I'm a creative and diligent software engineer with extensive experience designing and implementing web and other client/server applications employing Java, SQL and a large variety of other technologies. I'm an inventor on a patent filed for a desktop application for automating mapping of data to pdf files. I'm also the creator of EarthWandering.com which makes Google Earth a multi-user environment. I'm an incessant tinkerer with software, hardware, basic electronics and home projects. I believe in maintaining a beginner’s mind (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beginner%27s_mind)
