John Yost, ProCompass founder and principal, has been helping companies solve management and operations problems for more than 25 years. With a solid background in management and leadership, John has an in-depth understanding of the issues businesses face in achieving excellence in performance, as well as the tools and methodologies available to help them reach their goals.
John's main focus is helping small businesses to develop and achieve performance excellence. In addition to his consulting business he also maintains the Your-Small-Business-Plan.com website dedicated to helping small business owners or would be small business owners.
John received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and his MBA from Santa Clara University. He is an instructor in the University of Phoenix MBA program.
John has achieved a number of accreditations. He is a certified behaviors, values and atrributes analyst with Target Training International and he is also an active affiliate of Resource Associates Corporation (RAC), the Total Quality Institute (TQI) and the Association for Quality & Productivity (AQP). He is a Certified Quality Manager and Certified Reliability Engineer through the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He is an active member of the American Management Association (AMA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
John is a member of the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce and the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber. John has twice received the Presidents award from Target Training International for his community involvement.
