John Starkey founded FCV Technologies, a leading interactive agency headquartered in Vancouver. Starkey is on the advisory boards of City Passports, DreamBank, QuickMobile and VRX Studios, is a member of the board of directors for Kayak for a Cure and Vancouver AM, and is an MBA mentor at the University of British Columbia.

In addition to his responsibilities managing FCV Technologies he also serves as the SVP Product & Design at Tripharbor, the web's first combined cruise community and cruise planning and buying site, where he is responsible for user interface design and the technology platform.

Prior to founding FCV Technologies, Starkey worked in the United States as director of business development at Expedia.com where he played a key role in the creation and growth of the private label online booking business known as WWTE; the acquisition by Expedia of several activity desk companies; managed airline, hotel, car, search engine partner and tour operator relationships within the private label business; led the product planning for a points-based online redemption tool; and directed business development activities for the destination services team which sold in-destination activities, including ground transfers, tours, attractions and theme park tickets both stand-alone and as part of Expedia’s dynamic packaging business.

Previous to joining the Expedia division at Microsoft, Starkey was a director of business development at Qpass. While at Qpass, Starkey was based in Seattle and led business development efforts for interactive television technologies within the Mobile & Broadband Commerce business unit.

Prior to his position with Qpass, Starkey was a senior consultant with Accenture, formerly Andersen Consulting.

Starkey holds a B.Comm majoring in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization.
