Authentium’s co-founder and Chairman is John Sharp. Mr. Sharp holds responsibility for strategy and international business development at the company. His innovations and inventions include the company's SafeCentral secure session service and he is co-author of two recent patent applications related to the service, and the security of Internet transactions.
Mr. Sharp was formerly Managing Director for Asia of WorldSpace Corporation, a global satellite broadcaster based in Washington DC. Prior to establishing the Asian operations for WorldSpace, Mr. Sharp was CEO of Content & Systems, a consultancy firm specializing in international regulatory negotiations and project management for broadcast media and technology development companies and organizations, such as Singapore University-backed Kent Ridge Digital Labs, Sony Television, Strategic Intelligence, Muvee, and the MIH Group.
While CEO of Authentium, Mr. Sharp raised more than $35 million in equity investment for Authentium, and established the company as one of the fastest-growing, and most innovative security software-as-a-service companies.
