In the late 80s, John birthed and led a citywide leadership council that declared Austin, TX ‘The Arts Capitol of the South’. From 1995-2007, he worked for a global leader in the field of training and development managing the Midwest office. Having facilitated leadership and community development programs for over 10,000 people, he joined Pixel Brothers (television production) in 2007 to break new ground for the company and media industries.

He is Founder and President of The Chicago Convergence, a high profile think-tank for digital projects which boast the cities digital prominence in technology, entertainment and design. Welcomed by Mayor Daley, the annual conference and cohesive large-scale network of digital talent plays an integral role as the cities "new media glue" while intersecting Hollywood and Chicago.

In May of 2009, He made Los Angeles his primary residence with homes in both cities. He is as an Independent Producer working on the development and packaging of reality and scripted television and an Executive Producer at Hollywood Farms, a comedy motion picture production company.
