I’ve seen people waste close to a $1 million on the “Great Idea” of a vendor (an “expert” no less) because of seriously flawed assumptions and the fact it wasn’t the vendor’s money on the line (he knew better).
It's a crime.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And marketing risk is easily minimized by thoughtful planning, and intelligent testing.
That brings us to my #1 Rule of Business: Only work with people you trust, like and have integrity.
When you’re working with the right people, direct marketing is one heck of a fun business to be in (and there’s tons of money to go around).
