John Muchow’s Summary

I have been involved in software development for nearly 20 years. I am the author of the book Core J2ME Technology and MIDP which was a best selling book in the category of mobile application development on Amazon and is still published in several foreign languages. I have written extensively about technology, developed and delivered a wide range of web/classroom training for developers, and have participated in countless technology and networking events around the globe.

I’ve worked in roles including Lead Software Engineer, Sr. Trainer, Chief Software Architect, Developer Evangelist, Principal Consultant and Community & Developer Relations. My work has involved collaboration with many well known publications & businesses, with a handful listed here:

* Dr. Dobbs / O’Reilly / PC Magazine / IBM developerWorks
* Forum Nokia / Sony Ericsson / Symbian / Nextel / Siemens
* Borland / Motorola / Sun Microsystems

In the fall of 2008 I started a consulting and development business focused solely on the iPhone. With the strong demand for iPhone applications from individuals to businesses of all sizes, within just a few months this business has contributed to many projects from casual entertainment, to applications focused on short term marketing campaigns to translation of website content to native iPhone applications.

As a means to help other developers and organizations learn to build iPhone applications, I blog frequently at iPhoneDeveloperTips.com
