John is a Co-founder and Chairman of LeaderShape Ltd, an organisation of Business Leaders who shape the best leaders for the future.
LeaderShape exists for leaders and organisations who are dissatisfied with the conversion of training programmes into effective behaviours and performance. It provides bespoke programmes that embed accelerated leadership learning into the daily life of the organisation through the development of personal insights. To do this LeaderShape has assembled a team of experienced, former CEOs who have the specialist professional training and ability to coach/mentor and to create self-supporting, enhanced learning in Senior Executives
An MBA etc. will only provide threshold competence in leadership. Excellence requires much more including a high level of Emotional Intelligence and Authenticity. It requires leaders to develop beyond the ego of power, prestige and financial reward and move to transpersonal development which is about doing the best for all the stakeholders with which you are involved.
A recognized expertise in leadership development, people management, culture change, corporate strategy, organizational development, acquisitions and joint ventures, business finance, and marketing and sales.
Business experience encompasses a broad range of senior management responsibilities in international corporate environments in the U.S.A., Europe, U.K. and Asia. Lived in Sweden, The Netherlands, Singapore and the USA over a period of 14 years and have been involved in business in over 50 countries. Also served as CEO / MD of several entrepreneurial SMEs.
In addition to my current role at LeaderShape, I am a shareholder / chairman / director of several businesses, particularly in the field of environmental technology (eg: WPL Limited).
I completed the Advanced Management Programme at Columbia University (NY) whilst a VP of Combustion Engineering.
Developed 8ICOL (8 Integral Competencies of Leadership) defining a matrix of parameters for leadership excellence. Expert in Emotional Intelligence, a leader in Spiritual / Transpersonal Leadership, and relationship between neuroscience and leadership. Developed LEIPA (the most comprehensive 360o EI and Leadership Assessment Programme). An experienced executive coach of individuals and facilitator of teams providing a variety of inteventions to convert learning into embedded habits.
