John Philip Green is Founder & CMO of Savvica, an online social media company focused on international education. In 2008, Savvica launched LearnHub.com, a higher education, test prep, and career network for Indian students. Savvica is funded by Educomp Solutions Ltd. (EDSO.BO), India's largest education company.
Previously, John was the Director of Engineering at Affinity Labs, an online communities company. Affinity Labs was initially funded by the Mayfield Fund and Trinity Ventures. It was acquired after 14 months by Monster Worldwide (Nasdaq:MNST) for $61MM.
John is an advisor to SmartHippo.com, a community-driven comparison shopping engine for financial services.
John created and regularly hosts the FoundersLunch.com, private functions that welcome technology startup entrepreneurs to meet—free from investors, media, and employees. He is also a frequent public speaker at technology, education, and entrepreneurship conferences.
John holds a B.Math (Honours Computer Science) from the University of Waterloo.

Affinity Labs was a San Francisco-based startup that was sold to Monster Worldwide for $61M after 14 months. It was initially funded by the Mayfield Fund and Trinity Ventures.
I was employee 9, and head of technology. I was a cornerstone in the company during its remarkable success in 2007, starting with the first line of code.
I hired & lead the software development team to build several Ruby on Rails projects, including a system which served over 1,000,000 monthly unique users. Projects included PoliceLink.com, FireLink.com, NursingLink.com, TheApple.com, and ArtBistro.com.
